Scientists have developed automated underwater terminals for the transhipment of petroleum products

Scientists from the State Marine Technical University of St. Petersburg have developed automated underwater terminals for the transhipment of petroleum products from drilling platforms to tankers. This development will help to solve some of the well-known problems of offshore development – the lack of the necessary coastal infrastructure as well as the complexity and high costs of its construction in northern conditions.
