Arctic to get more ambulance helicopters
The fleet of ambulance helicopters will be expanded in six Arctic regions over the next year and a half to two years in response to requests from 28 populated areas in the Arctic zone to renovate medical infrastructure, Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova said, per RIA Novosti.
“In order to cover the entire population of the Arctic zone with so-called primary care and medical support, we have intensely developed on-site forms of work over the last year. This enabled us to proactively examine a million of 2.3 million residents in 2016”, the minister said.
