Forty new sites were added to the tourism infrastructure of the Arkhangelsk Region in 2017
More than 60 new excursion programmes were developed in the region’s districts in 2017. For instance, the Velsky District has been offering the Velsky School Holidays tourism programme, complete with interactive and educational components, since last year. As part of the programme, kids visit not only museums and cultural centres but also the Khoroshevsky State Stud Farm, and study photography and blacksmithing. Velsk has already welcomed 300 schoolchildren, including groups from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk.
