Roscongress Foundation concludes several agreements with regional development corporations

The Roscongress Foundation signed cooperation agreements with the development corporations of the Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Moscow, and Kaliningrad Regions as well as the Krasnodar and Primorsky Territories at the Russian Investment Forum on 14 February.

Taking part in the signing ceremony were Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of the Council for the Development of Foreign Trade and International Economic Relations (Moscow Region) Eduard Pominov, Nizhny Novgorod Region Development Corporation General Director Timur Khalitov, Kaliningrad Region Development Corporation General Director Andrey Tolmachyov, Krasnoyarsk Territory Development Corporation General Director Pavel Mayorov, Primorye Territory Investment Agency General Director Dmitry Yamshchikov, and Yaroslavl Region Development Corporation Acting General Director Yevgeny Vasilyev.

The aim of the agreements is to develop cooperation to increase the investment appeal and export potential of Russian business as well as to promote promising regional projects on the domestic and foreign markets.

“Finding investments for regional projects is an essential task for the country’s economic development. The tools for achieving the goals set forth in the documents that have been signed will include mutual consultations as well as the joint organization of targeted forums, seminars, workshops, and other events. In addition, Roscongress will provide consulting services to arrange funding for breakthrough projects from Russian and international organizations and investors” Stuglev said.

The agreements also provide for the promotion of the Foundation’s partners at IT resource “Invest in Russian regions” and major congress and exhibition events in the Russian Federation (the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, including as part of the project ‘Regions of Russia: New Areas of Growth’, Eastern Economic Forum, Russian Investment Forum, International Arctic Forum, and Russian Energy Week). They also envisage the organization of foreign events – a road show to present investment opportunities offered by Russian business.

The document also devotes special attention to the social agenda. The parties have agreed to create favourable conditions for the implementation of social projects and enhance the effectiveness of charitable activities in the regions of the Russian Federation.
