Russia to develop the infrastructure in its Arctic and the Pacific basins
The Russian government will be developing the transport infrastructure in the Baltic, Black Sea, Pacific and Arctic basins, President Vladimir Putin said at the transport workers’ convention.
“We will continue developing large logistic hubs in the Baltic, Black Sea, Pacific and Arctic basins. Development of inland waterways has created huge reserves for growth of transport, especially of large and heavy freight. We have already started working on strengthening the river infrastructure and hydraulic structures and on deepening riverbeds,” Vladimir Putin said.
