The International Arctic Forum Sporting Programme Published

Participants of the 'Arctic: Territory of Dialogue' International Arctic Forum, taking place in St. Petersburg on 9–10 April, can expect a rich sporting programme by the Roscongress Sport Club.

On 8 April, brunch at the Derby equestrian club will launch the sporting programme. Horseback riding, fireplace and refreshments in a cosy atmosphere are an excellent opportunity to tune right into the business programme of the Forum.

The Roscongress Cup hockey gala match will be a sporting continuation of the Forum’s first day. The teams of the Forum and the Government of St. Petersburg are to take the ice of the Tavrichesky Sad Multifunctional Entertainment Centre. All hockey match participants will receive commemorative medals, but vivid emotions and an energy boost for the Forum days is the most important award. A Roscongress Cup squash tournament is scheduled for the evening of 9 April. Squash with its dynamics and excitement has become the global trend in fitness. Tournament participants will also witness the match of the country’s leading squash athletes.

On the evening of 10 April, Forum participants are invited to a sporting and practical shooting tournament at the Nevsky Sports and Shooting Club. Participants and guests of the tournament will have a unique opportunity to try weapons produced by Kalashnikov Group. The event provides an opportunity not only to take part in an exciting competition but also accords a great outdoor experience and exposure to the firearms culture.
