    • ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL ARCTIC FORUM

      The Forum brings together government bodies, international organizations, and the scientific and business communities of Russia and other countries for a focused discussion and comprehensive exchange of views on current issues impacting sustainable growth in the Arctic region.

      In 2019, the Forum welcomed over 3,600 participants from 52 countries, including representatives of international and Russian political, scientific and business circles, civil society, and leading media organizations. The largest delegations came from China, Norway, Finland, Sweden, the USA, Denmark, Iceland, Canada, and Japan.       The Organizing Committee

      The Chair of the International Arctic Forum Organizing Committee is Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.       The Roscongress Foundation

      The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

      The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

      Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

      The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 195 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 83 countries worldwide, and 280 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

  • BUSINESS PROGRAMME
    • PROGRAMME

      The International Arctic Forum programme includes dozens of sessions, discussions, pitch sessions and lectures covering issues of present concern and prospects for the development of the Arctic region. The Forum business programme reflects the priorities of the Russian Chairmanship of the Arctic Council.

    • PARTICIPATING AS A MODERATOR OR SPEAKER

      Should you wish to participate in the International Arctic Forum 2022 as a moderator or speaker, please email your request to the working group responsible for drafting the programme (programme@roscongress.org). Specify your contact information, job title, and organization, and include a brief list of points you wish to cover in your talk on your selected topic.

      If you are submitting your request after the programme architecture has been published online, please also indicate where specifically the presentation would fit within the programme.

    • INTERNATIONAL ARCTIC FORUM EXHIBITION

      The ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ 6th International Arctic Forum Exhibition is a professional platform for presenting Arctic projects, engaging in constructive dialogue, sharing experience, identifying solutions, and consolidating the efforts of the scientific community, business, government, and civil society, with the aim of developing the Arctic carefully and responsibly.

  • PARTICIPATION IN THE FORUM
    • APPLYING TO PARTICIPATE

      If you wish to submit an application to attend International Arctic Forum 2022, please sign up for a Roscongress personal account on the foundation website (roscongress.org).

      Once you have completed the registration process, an email will be sent to the address you specified, containing your login and password for your Roscongress personal account.

      If you need to restore access to your account, please send an email to weboffice@roscongress.org.

    • APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS

      Your International Arctic Forum 2022 application status will be visible in the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account. Participation applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee. If your application is approved, you will be sent an invitation to the Forum, and your application status will be updated in real time in your account. The review process takes a minimum of 10 days, although the exact time varies for each applicant.

      To participate in the Forum, you must be in receipt of a written invitation issued by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse an invitation to an applicant without explanation.

      Once you have received your invitation, please confirm your participation in the Forum in the ‘My events – International Arctic Forum 2022 – Event dashboard’ section of your account. If you no longer plan to attend the Forum, please also inform us of your decision via your Roscongress personal account.

    • PARTICIPATION FEE AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    • MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS PER COMPANY (QUOTAS)

      In order to maintain a high level of representation, the number of Forum participants permitted from any one company is limited.

      Please note that if the established quota for the number of participants from a given company is exceeded, the participation fee will be raised. The fee for the first additional participant is increased by 20% of the basic package cost. The cost of participation for the second and each subsequent additional delegate will exceed the basic cost of the package by 50%.

      No discounts are offered for participation in the Forum.

    • ACCESS TO THE PLENARY SESSION

      Access to the International Arctic Forum 2022 plenary session is by special invitation only, and will not be offered as part of the participation package.

    • SUBSTITUTING A PARTICIPANT

      A participant can only be substituted with the approval of the Forum Organizing Committee. If a participant who has confirmed their participation can no longer attend the Forum for any reason, and you wish to arrange a replacement, please contact your personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation.

      Your personal manager’s contact information can be found in the Roscongress personal account and in your Forum invitation letter.

  • PAYMENT OF PARTICIPATION FEE
    • GENERATING A PAYMENT DOCUMENT

      To pay the participation fee, go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account, select International Arctic Forum 2022, go to the 'Event dashboard' section and open the 'Payment' tab.

      Once in the 'Payment' section, enter the payer’s information, and select the payment method (invoice in roubles or bank card for residents of the Russian Federation, or invoice in roubles/US dollars/euros or bank card for residents of other countries). The participant may then select the type of payment document: an agreement or invoice agreement (a document acting as both an agreement and an invoice).

    • PAYING THE PARTICIPATION FEE BY AGREEMENT

      The participation fee may only be paid by the individual or legal entity indicated as the Customer in the participation agreement.

      Steps for paying the participation fee by agreement:

      1. Download the participation agreement from the Roscongress personal account

      2. Print and sign the agreement, and email a scanned copy to your International Arctic Forum 2022 personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation

      3. Download the generated invoice

      4. Pay the participation fee via your bank (payment may take more than 3 banking days to process) or by bank card via the Roscongress personal account (payment will go through immediately).

      The following bank cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, Diners Club, JCB, MIR. Payment will be processed in Russian roubles.

    • WHAT IS THE ROSCONGRESS PERSONAL ACCOUNT?

      The Roscongress personal account is an information space, communication tool, and service platform for participants of all Roscongress Foundation events.

      Features:

      • submit applications to attend events organized by the Roscongress Foundation;

      • browse upcoming events and plan your personal schedule using the business calendar;

      • receive updates to your participation status and learn about services offered at various events organized by the Roscongress Foundation;

      • access resources and analysis on previous events organized by the Foundation.

    • REGISTRATION IN THE ROSCONGRESS PERSONAL ACCOUNT

      You can register for a Roscongress personal account on the Roscongress Foundation website.

      You can register for a Roscongress personal account in five simple steps. Step one is to fill in your personal details. You will then be prompted to provide your passport details, information about your organization and your contact details. The fifth and final step is to select the event.

      Once you have completed the registration process, an email will be sent to the address you have provided containing your login and password for your Roscongress personal account.

    • LOGIN AND PASSWORD FOR THE ROSCONGRESS PERSONAL ACCOUNT (FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY)

      To log in to your Roscongress personal account, please enter the login and password emailed to you when you first registered for your account. If you need to restore access to your account, please send an email to weboffice@roscongress.org.

    • DATA CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE ROSCONGRESS PERSONAL ACCOUNT

      The Roscongress Foundation strictly adheres to legal requirements governing the protection of every participant’s personal data.

      The Roscongress personal account has been developed using SSL data encryption technology to ensure the highest levels of security and confidentiality of your personal information.

      When registering for a Roscongress personal account or applying to attend the International Arctic Forum 2022, participants must consent to the processing of their personal data. This consent is a requirement under Russian law, and applications to participate in events cannot be processed without it.

    • CHANGES TO PERSONAL INFORMATION

      Should you wish to edit your personal information, go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account and select International Arctic Forum 2022.

      If you need to edit your personal information as it appears in the general settings of your Roscongress personal account, or if you need to make changes to uneditable fields, please contact your personal manager at the Roscongress Foundation. Your personal manager’s contact information can be found in your Forum invitation letter. Alternatively, call the Forum information centre on +7 (499) 700 0607.

    • THE ROSCONGRESS PERSONAL ACCOUNT EVENT DASHBOARD

      Participants who have received an invitation can confirm their participation in International Arctic Forum 2022 in the ‘My events – International Arctic Forum 2022 – Event dashboard’ section of their account.

      Participants can also use the ‘Event dashboard’ to do the following:

      • edit their personal data;
      • generate an agreement or invoice agreement and pay the participation fee;
      • provide information on their COVID-19 immunity status and details concerning their arrival in Russia/departure from Russia;
      • submit an accreditation request for a personal vehicle and drivers;
      • request services.
    • PROVIDING INFORMATION ON COVID-19 IMMUNITY STATUS

      All participants have to submit information on their COVID-19 immunity status (presence/absence of antibodies and vaccination information) in the COVID-19 section of the Roscongress personal account.

      Foreign citizens will also have to submit information on their arrival in Russia/departure from Russia in order to board their flights and cross the Russian border.

      More information will be published on the Forum website nearer the time of the event.

    • MOBILITY ASSISTANCE AT THE FORUM VENUE

      If a participant requires mobility assistance at the Forum venue, they should go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account and select International Arctic Forum 2022. Next, go to the ‘Event dashboard’ and submit a request via the ‘Mobility assistance at the Forum venue’ tab. This must be done no later than three days prior to your arrival.

  • TRANSPORT
    • TRANSPORT ROUTES TO ST. PETERSBURG

      St. Petersburg is one of the largest transportation hubs in Russia. The city is home to Pulkovo International Airport, five rail terminals, and a seaport. St. Petersburg is also linked to Russian and European cities via numerous highways.

    • TRANSPORTATION TO THE FORUM VENUE

      Participants have a number of options for getting to the Forum venue:

      • By free Forum shuttles. During the Forum, free shuttles will run between the Forum venue and remote parking lots/accreditation points/hotels suggested to Forum participants and participant arrival and departure points: Pulkovo Airport and Moskovsky Rail Terminal. You can learn more about the latest shuttle schedule in the ‘Transport’ section on the Forum website and at any Forum information and service point.

      • By rented vehicle. Participants can use the accredited vehicle with driver rental service. For more information please see the ‘Transport’ section.

      • By personal accredited vehicle. Forum participants may obtain accreditation for a personal vehicle and drivers for driving into the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre or into one of the off-site parking areas.

        Detailed information will be available in the ‘Accreditation of personal vehicle’ section of the Forum website closer to the Forum dates.

      • By personal non-accredited vehicle. Non-accredited vehicles and taxis may pick up and drop off passengers at checkpoint 2 by the entrance to the Forum venue. However, they may not enter the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.

  • ABOUT ST. PETERSBURG
    • WEATHER IN ST. PETERSBURG

      In April, the weather in St. Petersburg is very changeable. The average daytime temperature is + 6 ... + 10 °C.

      Due to the city’s geographic position and its proximity to the Baltic Sea, the weather can change unexpectedly. The combination of high humidity and wind means that it always feels colder. We advise guests to bring warm clothing and an umbrella.

    • TIME ZONE

      Local time in St. Petersburg is the same as in Moscow (GMT+3).

    • ELECTRICITY

      Russian outlets run at a voltage of 220 volts and a frequency of 50 Hz. Type C and F sockets are common.

    • EXCHANGE RATE
      Up-to-date information on the exchange rate can be obtained on the website of the Central Bank of Russia: cbr.ru.
    • BANK CARDS

      Although the majority of restaurants and many shops in St. Petersburg accept bank cards, we also recommend carrying cash.

    • ATTRACTIONS
