Dates Set for International Arctic Forum 2022

The 6th ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ International Arctic Forum will take place in St. Petersburg on 11–13 April 2022.

Forum participants will traditionally address improving the quality of life for the Arctic zone residents, preserving the unique environmental potential of high-latitude territories, ensuring their sustainable socioeconomic development and strengthening international cooperation for achieving these goals.  

“We as the country holding the presidency in the Arctic Council value the Forum as a platform for resolving the key issues of the Arctic territories. The Arctic Forum is a unique space for a productive cooperation with international and regional agencies. At the same time, it provides an opportunity to focus on Russian and international priorities, which include climate change and environmental protection, economic cooperation in the Arctic, sustainable development of transport and related infrastructure, and human capital development. Russia intends to ensure the sustainable development of the Arctic zone and to preserve its social, economic and environmental balance,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee.
